Gujarat Board GSEB HSC 12th Arts, Commerce Result 2020: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) announced the result of Arts and Commerce of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) on Monday, June 15. Around 4 lakh students who had appeared in the HSC Arts and Commerce exam this year can check the result through the website- gseb.org.
The candidate can also visit register at the indianexpress.com to get the latest updates about result in real-time. To receive updates, students will have to fill his/her details.
Gujarat Board HSC Result 2020: How to check
Step 1: Click on the result links at the official websites
Step 2: Register with your roll number, full name, mobile number and mail id
Step 3: Once result is out, the score will be sent to your registered mobile number, mail id
Step 4: Result will be available, take a print out
The evaluation process for the Gujarat Board exams was resumed in April-mid after being canceled once due to the lockdown. The board has earlier declared class 12 science result as well as class 10 result. A total of 60.64 per cent students cleared the SSC exam, while 71.34 per cent students cleared the HSC Science exam this year successfully.
Candidates need to keep their admit card handy. Students will have to enter their board exam roll number to check the result. Further, candidates will have to keep the print out of the result with them. This will act as a provisional mark sheet until the official mark sheets are released.

The students can register here with their roll number, full name and other details here to get results. The results will be directly sent to their registered mobile number and email id, once released.
A student should at least secure a D grade in each subject to clear the exams. If a student fails to do so and gets E in any subject, he/she can appear for the supplementary examinations.
Qualifying marks to clear HSC exam
To qualify in a subject, a candidate must obtain a minimum of grade ‘D’ To be eligible for higher Secondary Certificate, a candidate must obtain minimum of grade ‘D’ in all subjects. Those candidates who have obtained grade ‘E1’ or ‘E2’ in the subjects of External Examination shall have to improve their performance through subsequent attempts and qualify
How board conducts evaluation process amid lockdown
The evaluation process for the Gujarat Board exams was resumed in April-mid after being canceled once due to the lockdown. The state board had announced to release the result for both class 10 and class 12 exams by May-end.
Gujarat to mass promote school students
Gujarat education department has decided to promote all students of all schools across boards from Class 1 to 8. The order also applies to all government, grant in aid and self financed schools affiliated to Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) that will promote students of Class 9 and 11.

Why pass percentage has not improve in recent years
The Gujarat Board SSC result pass percentage has not touched 70 per cent in recent years. Last year, not only the number of schools with 100 per cent pass percentage dropped as compared to 2018, but also, as many as 63 schools had no students clearing the class 10 Gujarat Board exams from them.
71.34% clear HSC Science exam this year
A total of 71.34 per cent students cleared HSC Science examination this year. The boys fair better than girls, while 71.69 per cent male students cleared the examination, the pass percentage of female students stands at 70.85 per cent.
76.29% clear HSC Arts and Commerce exam
A total of 76.29 per cent students cleared HSC general stream examination this year. A total of 3.7 lakh (3,71,771) studedents appeared in the exam out of which 2.83 lakh (2,83,624) became successful.
Girls fair better than boys
The girls fair better than boys, while 82.20 per cent female students cleared the HSC exam successfully, the pass percentage of boys is 70.97 per cent.
Patan tops among districts
Patan is the best performing district in the HSC exam with 86.27 per cent. Junagadh is the worst performing districts with 58.26 per cent.
